Hello
and thank you for visiting the Audio/Video page.
This section of the site is under the most
development and should be growing considerably
in the near future. This is where old 4-track
rarities, cover songs, and demos are going to be
made available for your listening (and
downloading) pleasure. For clips of songs from
William Kenneth’s official releases, please
visit the Discography
section.
Covers:
Mad World
(Tears for
Fears): Recorded on my 4-track cassette recorder
circa 2000. This track is a good example of the
‘rarities’ we’ll be putting up here. Due to its
low-tech source sound quality isn’t 100% but it
gives a good view of how far I’ve come.
Blackbird
(The Beatles): The first track I recorded when I
started to dabble in digital recording, so
probably this was around 2003. I love the
Beatles, and this song in particular was a great
one to record as a tribute to their enormous
influence on my music.
Apple Blossom
(The White Stripes): I believe this was done
around 2004 and it was one of my first attempts
at covering a song and not trying to duplicate
the artist’s voice, but rather make the vocals
more in my style.
Can’t Help Falling In Love (Elvis Presley):
Recorded just this month, January 2006. I
recently started to become obsessed with Elvis
and so my desire to cover one of his songs grew
until I had to try it. What I came up with was
this quick demo track which I’m very proud of
because it is the first time I feel I took not
just the vocals, but an entire song, and made it
more my own rather than a carbon copy.
Coming in the near future…early 4-track demos
of the songs that became Drown Out The Silence,
some unreleased songs that didn’t make the cut
for the album, many more cover songs, and NEW
DEMOS for the next William Kenneth album!
